The OAA is dedicated to providing service to local councils
and OA Lodges. Members are always encouraged to become more involved in their
service to youth and to the Scouting movement - sometimes on an international
level. We receive numerous reports of how members are providing exceptional
service and programming to their local councils, Lodges, and Scouting units.
Below are some highlights of such service to Scouting:

This flap was produced by the OAA in support of
the DR Project. proceeds of the sale went to help pay for expenses and
provide Camperships to the local DR Scouting organization. |
Final Report from "Cheerful Service to the Dominican
Scout Association" Project
Just a quick report to our
membership that, after 2 1/2 years, this Good Turn project has been
concluded. We are proud to report that over $15,000 has been raised through
several Rotary Clubs and its Foundation in support of capital projects and
infrastructure improvements for the Dominican Scouts Association (DSA).
Tom Slavicek represented the OAA
in this project providing strategic support and guidance to the Team,
facilitating the training of DSA volunteers in-country (in Spanish) and the
development of a 5-year strategic plan of restructuring of the organization.
We want to thank all those who’ve supported this
project through your purchase of the special flap that was produced. Income
from that sale provided direct support to DSA youngsters seeking uniforms
and camp fees to attend Camp Cuayo in the DR. |
